Need documentation for new Network Binary Protocol features

The documentation for the Binary Protocol is quite out of date, and is missing entirely for some of the newer operations.

  • The top of the page still has current protocol version as 32. (It should be 37.)

  • The following operations are missing entirely:

  • REQUEST_QUERY
  • REQUEST_CLOSE_QUERY
  • REQUEST_QUERY_NEXT_PAGE
  • REQUEST_HANDSHAKE
  • REQUEST_BATCH_OPERATIONS

I especially need the documentation for REQUEST_QUERY. I don’t want to have to reverse engineer it : )

Thank you for your help!

I’m getting a lot of pressure at work for this. Can anyone help with this? TPTB are talking about doing a trade study of other graph databases, which I really don’t want to do, but if I can’t get an answer on this, I may have to do just that.

Hi @StevenTomer

Let me check, probably I can provide some information in short.
I’ll let you know ASAP

Thanks

Luigi

Hi @StevenTomer

which programming language are you using for the connector?

Hi @StevenTomer

I’m updating the protocol specification with the new REQUEST_QUERY* operations, you can see the progress here

Thanks

Luigi

Luigi,

This is fantastic! Thank you!

Steve

We’re using our internally-developed C++ library.

Hi @StevenTomer

FYI, I added the specs for REQUEST_CLOSE_QUERY and REQUEST_QUERY_NEXT_PAGE

Thanks

Luigi
